The open-air museum in Zubrnice is located in the picturesque scenery of northern Bohemia. The buildings and furnishings preserved there document traditional rural ways of life in the foothills of the Erzgebirge (Ore Mountains) and the Bohemian uplands. The publicly accessible part of the complex includes a timbered farmhouse with its interior furnishings, outbuildings, and a hot-air fruit-drying house. An old village shop and the village school as well as a Baroque church can also be viewed. In the middle of the village square is a Baroque wooden well which comes from the village of Střížovice near Ústí nad Labem and dates back to 1695. The museum’s historic watermill is currently under reconstruction. In July 2012, a historic building was converted to serve as an educational centre.
