The Historical Telecommunications Association is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation, maintenance and restoration to working order of telecommunications equipment. This includes telephones, private branch exchanges, switching equipment, transmission technology, telegraph and teleprinter technology and radio and data technology that has been in use during the past century. Many examples of such equipment are on display in the exhibition rooms of the Deutsche Telekom complex on Dresden's Postplatz Square. A special highlight is a working switch room, set up in an area of 200 square metres, where the mode of operation of telecommunications technology can be demonstrated.
