Under the motto “The Fascination of Time – Bringing Time to Life”, the museum not only presents the history of clock and watch making in Saxony but also provides emotional and philosophical access to the phenomenon of time itself. On a thousand square metres of exhibition space, over 450 unique items are on display for visitors to experience with the aid of multimedia installations. As a modern “world of time”, the museum holds an appeal for a broad public, from clock and watch enthusiasts to those who would like to learn more about the mysteries of mechanical time measurement.
