The Dresden Technical Collections are both a museum and a science centre. In exhibitions and educational programmes, key questions of the current development of technology, culture and society are linked with Dresden's tradition as a centre of high technology. The Mathematics Adventure Land, the experimental exhibition "Wellenreiter" (Wave Rider) and numerous museum educational programmes encourage independent experimentation and playful learning about natural phenomena, scientific methods and the basics of technology. "Cloud 8: The Climate and Us" in the Ernemannturm provides information and encourages an exchange of views on the subject of climate change. Temporary exhibitions present positions in regional and international photography. In the 48-metre-high Ernemannturm, a café invites visitors to enjoy the view over Dresden.
