At the Panometer Dresden, the motto for 2026 is: FIRST IMMERSE YOURSELF, THEN DIVE IN.
The 360° panorama “AMAZONIA” will be on display until March 17, 2026. In this immersive work of art by Yadegar Asisi, visitors experience the fascinating nature of the Brazilian rainforest and enter an exotic, overwhelming, and largely unknown world. The nearly 30-meter-high circular images create an impressive spatial effect thanks to their high resolution, simulated day-night cycle, and harmonious soundscape. The central, 15-meter-high visitor platform offers an impressive panoramic view of various image levels. The panorama is complemented by an accompanying exhibition with in-depth background information and extraordinary exhibits that round off the visit to the Panometer Dresden. After a short renovation phase, another spectacular nature experience will follow: “GREAT BARRIER REEF – Fascination Underwater World.” Starting on March 27, 2026, the world's largest coral reef will be presented in an impressive artistic setting. The 360° panorama allows visitors to experience the fragile beauty of this unique underwater world with unprecedented intensity. Colors, shapes, light, and sound combine to create an extraordinary experience at the intersection of art and nature—rich in detail, with changing times of day and a specially composed soundscape. A thematically complementary exhibition with rare exhibits and a making-of film provide exciting insights and invite visitors on a journey into an otherwise hidden world.
