The Starý Martin adit was once one of the most important old mining adits in the Krupa mining district. It opened up one of the richest and longest tin ore veins - the Lukáš vein. Mining began here in the 14th century and ended before the Second World War. The Starý Martin gallery offers visitors demonstrations of historical long mine workings, demonstrations of the differences in the fortification of the area in the past and present, the methods of tin ore extraction at selected points documenting the development of mining technology, characteristic sections of the Lukáš seam with its mineral filling, a collection of historical objects, an overview of the signs of all mining towns in the Czech Republic and an exhibition of minerals and rocks. The main attraction is the so-called Lucky Spring and stalactite ornaments. There is an open-air museum of historical and modern mining technology in the open area of the mine. The tour takes about 45 minutes, depending on your interests, and the distance there and back is 1000 m. There is a large parking lot opposite the gallery, and a room with an exhibition of mining technology and promotional material from the town where visitors can wait for the tour. Sanitary facilities are also available. An outdoor terrace is available to visitors in fine weather. Visits to the Starý Martin gallery are not suitable for the physically or mentally disabled. Children under the age of 5 are not admitted.
