The Archive of the Avant-Garde - Egidio Marzona (ADA) contains one of the most extensive collections of artworks, objects and documents from the artistic avant-gardes of the 20th century, compiled since the late 1960s by the collector Egidio Marzona. The ADA reveals the traces of artistic ideas, the numerous radical utopias and the astonishing networking between the artists. The Spanish-German architecture firm Nieto Sobejano Arquitectos carried out a spectacular conversion of the log cabin for the presentation of the collection of the Archive of the Avant-Garde - Egidio Marzona (ADA). While retaining the baroque façade, a cube floating freely above the exhibition level was inserted inside. The result is an architecturally extraordinary place that offers flexible space for research, exhibition and discussion.
